Goole is a town in the East Riding of Yorkshire. It has a population of 19,518. The town is located 19 miles south of York and 29 miles west of Hull.

Landmarks in Goole include its twin water towers, which have been dubbed the 'salt and pepper pots'. St John's Church was constructed in 1843-48. West Park is the largest park in Goole, and opened in 1923. It covers an area of 38 acres.
